I have had my cars serviced and repaired by Alex and his team for many years. He and his team provide an excellent and consistent service, always helpful, professional and reliable. As a demonstration of their goodwill and the rapport his team build with their customers, Alex and his son personally came round to my house to re fit the hard top to my 30 year old convertible - a truly personal service. I thoroughly recommend them.
I popped in on the off chance to see if they could look at my exhaust. I must say they kept my car for me that evening and it was done the following morning. Very impressed with the quick service I received. Will definitely be recommending them and going back again.
Many thanks to Alex and all his staff at A J Dunlop. My front nearside tyre exploded and with luck I was very close to Dunlops in Beaconsfield old town. They looked after me with the usual efficient and courteous manner. I have a Volkswagen Passat which they service and generally look after for me. Well done Alex and all your staff.
I was told I needed a new wind screen motor and linkage which they quoted 800.65, I was quite surprised by this figure. I did some research and saw it certainly wasn't worth paying this fee because of the value of the car and I could get parts cheaper. They did inform me that these would be new parts from Renault but I later contacted Renault myself to find out the price of new parts and turns out AJ Dunlop simply added 135.44 combined on top of these material prices, (excluding labour). I completely appreciate labour fees, but I wouldn't expect further extra fees to be hidden on top of material prices.When I informed them I wouldn't be taking up the work, they charged me a lovely diagnostic fee but said they'd try and find cheaper parts. Ofcourse, they didn't. As soon as I as I wasn't going to pay over the odds, they weren't too interested. One gentleman in particular was far from warm with me too.Ultimately I actually got the issue fixed for approximately an 1/4 of the price I was quoted here. Clearly a highly regarded garage, but just sharing my not so great experience.
Had to get my MOT done at extremely short notice on a Saturday morning, after realising that it was going to expire whilst away on an upcoming driving holiday, which was due to kick off on the follwing Tuesday. Called and was asked to come down asap (20mins). Car passed in under an hour in my absence, as I had to rush off. To avoid me being without the car over the rest of the weekend, the extremely flexible and friendly chaps at AJ Dunlops then kindly arranged for me to collect her out of garage hours that same afternoon. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! Great service & value for money too.
