Great place to eat and so much history. If you havent been must go. Just make sure its not snowing or ice roads.
The usual fantastic quality food again! Love the menu and the ambience of The Royal Standard. Had a long walk through the Chiltern Hills and stopped here for lunch. The fire was roaring so warmed us up after the -6 temp outside....and the specials board selection was awesome! Thank you!
Lovely old pub, with brilliant food with big portions and a great vibe. Lots of parking space and suitable for motorbikes. Thanks guys!
Always a great traditional pub. Very busy at the usual popular times so booking rexommended. Sunday Roast is mixed. The portion sizes are very good. The quality of the beef not so much. Other food is always on top point though.
A hidden gem in the middle of no where it seems. Once we arrived there was lots of parking. As the oldest free house in Britain it has a lot of character. Outside seating is available and there is lots of space inside. Food come in big portions and is okay. A large variety of drinks is good and the atmosphere here is very welcoming where you feel at home. I will definitely be coming back.
