All three of my daughters have attended Squirrels and they have all loved the nursery. Its like a home from home and all the staff are very warm and friendly both towards the parents and of course with the children. The Farm School is a wonderful addition to their service as a nursery but my children also enjoyed taking part in the exceptional nativity experience as well as playing in the beautiful gardens and sandpit area in the main house. The teaching is exceptional and they have prepared both my elder girls for school with their focus on learning as well as socialising. I cant recommend this nursery enough and I have complete trust in their abilities and have always felt very relaxed leaving my children in their care. Louise Stone-Penna.
Our daughter started Squirrels when she was just 18 months and she is now 3. She is always excited about going to nursery and that to us is the best proof that they do things right. Our experience has been amazing, the staff are warm and always at the ready with the children. This is a proper home from home. I couldnt think of any other nursery for my children, and my son is starting there this September. Thanks to all the teachers and the owner for keeping our children safe and happy!
I can not speak highly enough of the entire Squirrels Family - and it really is like a family. I was a bit nervous about my daughter starting because she had been a bit upset at her previous nursery - but I knew from my few visits that Squirrels was a very special place indeed. From the moment she walked into Squirrels she was happy. The staff are engaged, thoughtful and caring, it is clearly more than a job to them but a real vocation. I love the mixed age setting and the fact they get outside into the garden every day. Squirrels are brilliant at sharing photos of her with me so I can see what she has been up to when Im abroad with work. It makes me so happy to see her holding hands with her friends and watching what the big girls and boys are doing. I know she is learning lots in a happy and safe environment. We cant wait until she is old enough to go to the farm and Forrest days as we are sure she will enjoy those too! If you want a personal, caring environment that seeks to prepare your child for school and social interaction then I would recommend you see Squirrels as a priority. Ofstead got it right when they classed it Outstanding & first registered forest school in Bucks shows they do things right!
Squirrels provides a very special pre-school experience for children. Over the last 2 years, I have been amazed at the level of care, attention and love my son has received from all the staff. It is a small setting with a very high teacher/ child ratio. This gives the staff the opportunity to develop each child according to their needs. There is a lovely happy atmosphere at the nursery and all the children are excited to get there each day.The farm school is truly wonderful. If you think your child would enjoy being outdoors building dens, exploring nature etc, then this farm school would be an excellent choice. Children are given freedom to explore, all within an environment that is safe and fun. My son has loved the farm school and is now ready for school in September.
My second child is now at Squirrels and both children absolutely loved their time at the nursery. They developed strong bonds with all staff, whose care and attention are second to none. The staff always ensure that the childrens favourite toys/interests are available for them to play with and tailor their plans for the week to meet their childrens needs. This is a fantastic nursery and home from home for the children.
